About the Lab

私の研究室では，子どもの非認知能力（Social and Emotional Skills: SES）に着目し，子どもたちの成長・発達・心の健康を支えることを目的とした心理学研究を行っています。
なかでも，自己肯定感，向社会性・共感性，動機づけ・自己制御という，非認知能力を構成する3つの中核的な心理的要因について，学校心理学の視点から，その発達的メカニズムを科学的に明らかにすることを目指しています。
それぞれのテーマについて，新規性と独創性の高い研究領域の開拓・探求を進めています。蓄積・開拓した研究知見は，学校教育・教師教育・子育て支援・生涯学習支援などと結び付けながら，科学的知見を教育の場へと還元することを目指しています。
* Welcome to the KoKoRo & SoDaChi Laboratory of Educational Psychology *
Our laboratory conducts psychological research focusing on children’s non-cognitive abilities, conceptualized as social and emotional skills (SES), with the aim of supporting their growth, development, and mental well-being.
In particular, from the perspective of school psychology, we seek to scientifically elucidate the developmental mechanisms underlying three core psychological components of non-cognitive abilities: self-esteem, prosociality and empathy, and motivation and self-regulation.
Across these themes, we pursue the development and exploration of innovative and original research domains. Our accumulated and emerging research findings are integrated with school education, teacher education, child-rearing support, and lifelong learning, with the goal of translating scientific knowledge into educational practice.
